4th grade DES on equality.
Today was a big day for us. We started our cycle of lessons on gender equality by figuring out the little things we have all heard around us that feel unequal and disrespectful. Afterwards, we transformed these sayings into words that feel more like us. We thought of how we believed society should be and created an imaginary society we would be proud of. Supporting and investing in kids’ understanding of gender equality is key to a safer, respectful society.
