DES Wins IB Global Youth Action Fund Award for Second Year in a Row: Turning compassion into action… and ideas into real impact

The IB Global Youth Action Fund is more than a grant. It is a global movement empowering young changemakers to transform courage, creativity and purpose into meaningful action aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Across the world, young people are stepping forward to shape a better future… and our students are among them.

We are incredibly proud to share that our Middle School students, Ino Pariarou and Angelina Drosou, have been selected as winners of this year’s IB Global Youth Action Fund. Their inspiring project, “Foods to Hope”, aims to collect surplus food from restaurants and redistribute it to people in need within the community, turning empathy into tangible support and hope into action.

This remarkable achievement reflects not only their vision and leadership, but also the power of youth to create real, sustainable change. Even more proudly, this marks the second consecutive year that  DES students have been awarded this global distinction.
