DES sixth-graders participated in activities included in lessons specially designed for the Erasmus Programme “We are ready for a digital world”.
Year 6 students met online in the first lesson with a group of high school students from Spain. They shared presentations with information about their countries, Greece and Spain, their cities, Athens and Huelva and also about their schools.
In the second lesson, the students interacted online with a group of fourth and fifth-graders from Lithuania. They introduced themselves orally and then created their online postcards with their avatars using digital applications. They also took part in a survey about internet and digital application use.
The students enjoyed this digital experience, an essential part of which was the interaction among students from different cultural backgrounds using various digital platforms and tools. The high level of student engagement in all activities indicates the student’s interest in using digital tools and highlights technology’s many benefits in our lives and the classroom.
