St. Patrick’s Day and Red Nose day @ DES

As we aim for our kids to become citizens of the world, we like exploring different customs and traditions. Today is a double celebration for our school, as we celebrated St. Patrick’s Day and Red Nose day, too! As part of St. Patrick’s Day, we danced to the Irish tunes, drew shamrocks and rainbows and wore something green – so the leprechauns would not pinch any of us – Apart from something green, we also put on our red noses for the Red Nose Day!

Red Nose Day is an annual fundraising campaign to end the cycle of child poverty and ensure a healthy future for all children. Through the power of entertainment, we bring people together to laugh and have fun while raising money and awareness to ensure all children are safe, healthy, educated, and empowered.

Des School organised a fundraising event with activities arranged by our Year 5 kids. Along with their teachers, they ensured that all the kids in our school had fun and money was raised for a good cause. We collected 950€. The funds will be given to “Floga – Parents Association of Children with Cancer” Greece.

We would like to wholeheartedly thank all the parents and children in our school who actively contributed to this event! Our school will keep focusing on our children’s emotional growth and empathy through charities and other events!
